67th Fighting Cocks Insignia

A boxing rooster has carried the 67th’s Fighting Cocks identity from World War II fighters to Kadena’s Eagles.

About the Artifact

This rooster came ready for a fight, with boxing gloves on its wings. Walt Disney Productions created the wartime design for the 67th Fighter Squadron, and the Air Force approved the emblem on March 8, 1945. The artwork was updated in 1995, but the fighting rooster still tells you whose squadron it is, whether the crew flew a P-38 or an F-15.
