90th Pair-o-Dice Insignia

The 90th’s Pair-o-Dice insignia carries lucky sevens from World War I canvas to today’s F-22 Raptors.

About the Artifact

In 1918, Schauffler and Tillman posed beside a Salmson wearing the 90th’s dice, a marking Schauffler had used before the squadron adopted it. Officially approved in 1924, the red dice rode through bomber and fighter years to today’s F-22 era. New aircraft, same wager: lucky sevens and a safe trip home.
