From Aviano, the Triple Nickel flies F-16s for U.S. and NATO missions, taking its fighter heritage into a new European chapter.

In This Chapter

The squadron returned to combat flying when it activated in Italy with F-16s. Its work combines air-to-air and air-to-ground missions with allied training. Aviano remains its home station, even when crews and aircraft operate elsewhere.
