67th fighter squadron

From Guadalcanal to the jet age, the Fighting Cocks have flown close support, hunted air defenses and guarded Pacific skies.

About the Organization

The 67th began in Michigan in 1941. Its P-400 crews supported Marines on Guadalcanal, and later generations fought in Korea and took on enemy air defenses in Southeast Asia. Aircraft and missions changed, but the squadron kept its Fighting Cocks identity and a lasting connection to the Pacific.
